Organize a Food Drive

Second Harvest Food Bank Food receives strong support from its food industry friends, but the availability of nonperishable staple food items from these sources varies a great deal. Food drives are essential to our mission work.

A food drive is a rewarding project for any size organization or group to undertake, offering a great team building opportunity in addition to providing nutritious, shelf-stable products for our partner agencies serving those in need. To help you organize your food drive, we 've put together a variety of tools (see below). To assist us with record keeping and planning, please be sure to register your effort. In addition to donations of non-perishable food items, we accept donations of greenpoints which enable us to purchase shelf-stable staple foods.

Each and every day we aim to be exceptional stewards of donor contributions. That is why we ask that event organizers consider delivering collected food donations to Second Harvest Food Bank. If this is not possible, we are happy to schedule a pick up of donations.
