Second Helpings
Everyday, freshly prepared and perishable foods from restaurants and other food suppliers are thrown away if they are not quickly sold.
The Second Harvest Food Bank's Second Helpings program helps reduce this waste.
Prepared foods are collected from restaurants, caterers and food service organizations and immediately distributed to our partner agencies that provide on-site feeding programs, such as soup kitchens, group homes, shelters, rescue missions and other emergency assistance organizations.
Cook a Pan for the Hungry
Operations that have little waste but want to help feed those in need in our community can Cook A Pan for the Hungry.
