Ways to Give

One of the most important ways you can help fight hunger in our communities is through your tax-deductible financial contributions. For every $1 donated, we can distribute $12 worth of food.

Be assured that excellence in stewardship and accountability guide the management of all food, funds and in-kind donations entrusted to us on behalf of the hungry and others in need across our 18-county service area.

...designate your gift in honor, memory or celebration of someone. Simply print and complete the Donation Form and send it along with your check or check the appropriate box when making your donation online. Your designee will receive a special acknowledgement card informing them of your generous gift.

...multiply the impact of your gift with a matching grant. Many companies provide Matching Gifts for their current and retired employees – doubling (or even tripling) your gift to Second Harvest Food Bank. You may want to check with your company's human resources or foundation/philanthropy office to see if Matching Gifts are available.

...donate online using your MasterCard, Visa or American Express card.. All transactions are processed via Secure Socket Layers (SSL) for your protection.

...sponsor an event. Second Harvest Food Bank holds two large fundraisers each year - Empty Bowls and The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC Golf Tournament, each offering a variety of sponsorship opportunities.

...sponsor a special promotion. Various area businesses promote their involvement in hunger-relief efforts and offer their customers the opportunity to join them in supporting Second Harvest Food Bank through creative promotions.
