"Hunger-Free Holidays" hosted by
Piedmont Triad Radio Broadcasters
and Second Harvest Food Bank

Piedmont Triad Radio Broadcasters, which represents virtually every radio station in the Triad, are teaming up with Second Harvest Food Bank, Walmart & Mayflower Moving Co. to feed the hungry during the upcoming holiday season.

After last year’s successful launch of this great initiative almost twenty-seven of the radio stations in the Piedmont Triad are joining TOGETHER again to support a common cause, Second Harvest Food Bank. The radio campaign titled “Hunger Free Holidays” has one goal: that NO ONE goes hungry during the holidays.

Everyone in the Triad is encouraged to donate non-perishable goods or money during this two-day event at the Walmart store located at 4550 Kester Mill Dr. in Winston-Salem, Friday, November 20th from 9:00AM – 5:00PM and at the Walmart store located at 121 W. Elmsley Dr. Greensboro, Saturday, November 21st from 10:00AM – 3:00PM. Donated food will be loaded into the Mayflower Moving Co. truck for transport to Second Harvest Food Bank.

The campaign includes seven radio broadcasting companies and their twenty plus radio stations, dedicating well over $500,000 in advertising and promotional time to raise awareness for this great cause.

Entercom Communications’ 102 JAMZ,  93.1 “The Wolf”, 98.7 Simon, 97.1 QMG, 1510 WEAL, and 950 WPET; Clear Channel’s 104.1 WTQR, 99.5 WMAG, 100.3 The Buzz, 105.7 Kiss FM and 94.5 La Preciosa;  Curtis Media Group’s The Triad’s News Radio AM 600/1200, News Talk 1230 WMFR, FM Talk 101.1 WZTK, and Oldies & Beach 920 AM; Davidson Broadcasting’s Majic 94.1 and 1440 WLXN; Dick Broadcasting’s 107.5 KZL and Rock 92; Truth Broadcasting’s AM 830 “The Truth”, AM 1400 “The Light”, and AM 1340 “The Light” GHB Radio Group’s Country Legends 98.3, Sports Talk “790 The Ball”, ESPN 980, WAME 550 Country Legends. 

Donations can be made in person (food and monetary), online, or through check or money order mailed to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, 3655 Reed Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
