Second Harvest Food Bank's Chuck Harmon knows that summer meals matter.
He's committed to GO THE EXTRA MILE TO END SUMMER HUNGER, and he hopes you will, too!
"I'm the guy at Second Harvest Food Bank who is always asking folks to go the extra mile to help families in our community. This July, I'm walking my talk, taking on a 250-mile Hike to End Summer Hunger that will span the width of our 18-county service area and bring strong attention and resources to the problem of childhood hunger in our region. I am going the extra mile, and I am asking you to do the same, knowing that each and every gift you give will make a difference to a child in need this summer.”
Across Second Harvest Food Bank's 18-county service area, more than half of children attending public schools rely on free or reduced priced school meals to help them power through their days and stay focused on learning. During the summer months most of these programs end. With increasing numbers of families turning to our network for help, we're turning to you.
With your support, none will be turned away.
Let's end summer hunger...TOGETHER!
Harmon has set a goal to raise $3 from 100,000 people. He wants you to know that your gift of any size will be put to use immediately to provide nutritious summer meals for kids. Make a gift today.
