Bread for the World Advocacy Workshop Sunday, September 28 at 3pm Home Moravian Church Christian Education Building 529 S. Church Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101 Poverty and world hunger continue to shape the face of the world in which we live in dramatic ways. Life in a global marketplace often means that while there is plenty of food, it is often distributed and sold in inequitable ways. We can be engaged in acts of sharing food aid, but in order to change the systems that result in malnutrition and poverty we must be citizen advocates who help shape national and international public policy on these issues. Please join us for an afternoon of learning how to share your views in ways that can advocate for more just policy both locally, nationally, and internationally. As this is an election year and new leaders will be entering office in a matter of months, we have a wonderful opportunity to let them know what our expectations of them will be during their new terms. The Reverend Elizabeth Coleman, Southeast Regional Coordinator for Bread for the World, will lead us in learning the ways our voices can be heard to affect change. For questions, please contact Rev. Christy Clore at Home Moravian Church (722-6171 or cclore@homemoravian.org). Co-sponsored by Home Moravian Church and Second Harvest Food Bank.
