Satisfy Your Appetite to Serve

Volunteers play a vital, hands-on role in helping the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC to serve its network of partner agencies, which in turn feed those in need across 18-counties.

Whether you are interested in volunteering on your own or as part of a group, we welcome your help!

The Second Harvest Food Bank offers a range of weekday, weeknight and weekend volunteer opportunities, with some activities taking place at our facility in Winston-Salem and others at our Kids Cafe sites, special events or the Community Garden. Internship opportunities are also available.

For safety reasons, volunteers must be at least nine years of age, and all volunteers under age 15 must be accompanied by an adult who can provide supervision.
